Is our data secure and kept separate from other brands?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Atelier Compliance is multi-tenant by design — each brand's product data, mappings, calculations, and evidence packs are logically isolated at the database level. No brand can see or query another brand's data, and this isolation is enforced in every API call, not just the UI.

What exactly is in an "evidence pack"?

Accepted Answer

Each reporting period generates a CSV of the raw declared data, a JSON export of every category mapping and fee calculation with the ruleset version used, and an HTML summary showing uploads, mapping decisions, calculation logic, approvals, and timestamps — the full audit trail from raw SKU data to declared total, in a format designed to be handed directly to an inspector or auditor.

What happens if Refashion changes fee rates or categories mid-year?

Accepted Answer

Rules and fee tables are versioned objects, not hardcoded values. When Refashion updates rates, tariff bands, or eco-modulation criteria, we publish a new ruleset version. Your historical declarations stay locked to the ruleset version that was live when you filed, so past reporting periods are never retroactively altered — only new periods pick up the new rules.

How long does it take to migrate off our current spreadsheet process?

Most teams are running their first live declaration within two to three weeks. You import your existing product catalogue and sales data via CSV, we help you map SKUs to EPR categories in the first working session, and your historical spreadsheet data can be loaded as a reference baseline so nothing is lost.

What if a SKU is mapped to the wrong category?

You can correct any mapping before a period is calculated, and every override is logged with who made the change and why. If an error is found after a period is approved, we support a corrected re-declaration workflow that preserves the original submission in the audit trail rather than overwriting it.

Which schemes and markets do you currently support?

Accepted Answer

We launched with French textile EPR (Refashion), which is the most established and highest-volume scheme in scope for our customers today. Schemes are modelled as first-class objects in the platform, so as EU member states finalise their own textile EPR frameworks and the UK confirms its approach, we can add them without disrupting your existing reporting history.

Do you calculate eco-modulation bonuses and maluses, or only the base fee?

We support both the simplified per-category rate and the detailed declaration route, including eco-modulation adjustments for durability, recycled content, and environmental certifications, as well as maluses for metalloplastic fibres or embedded electronics where applicable.

What does the approval workflow actually enforce?

Accepted Answer

Each reporting period moves through a fixed lifecycle — Draft, Data imported, Mapped, Calculated, Approved, Exported — and a period cannot be exported until someone with approval rights has signed off on the calculated figures. This gives compliance and finance a clear internal control point before anything is submitted externally.

Can our finance or product-data team use this without deep EPR knowledge?

Yes. The category mapping step shows clearly what's missing or unmapped before you can proceed, and fee calculations are handled automatically once mapping is complete — the platform is built so day-to-day use doesn't require memorising tariff tables or eco-modulation rules.

What does onboarding involve, and do you offer support during our first declaration?

Onboarding starts with a 30-minute demo to confirm your catalogue size, market mix, and reporting calendar, followed by a written proposal. For your first live period, we work alongside your team through data import, mapping, and calculation review before you submit.

What if we're not yet registered with a PRO, or have under 100 FTE?

Accepted Answer

Atelier Compliance is built for brands already filing declarations, typically 100–500 FTE. If you're pre-registration or a smaller team, we're likely more system than you need today — happy to point you toward registration guidance, and revisit once you're filing live declarations.
